Spontaneity and sex often go hand in hand. But, there are certain activities and even foods that can put a serious damper on an intimate moment. Gas-inducing foods such as beans, lentils, soda, and cabbage, for instance, can not only cause embarrassing side effects and get us out of the mood, but also pain and discomfort. And while alcohol can make us toss away inhibitions and feel extra frisky, too much booze can leave us feeling sleepy and reduce the sensitivity of nerve endings (which is an important factor in reaching orgasm).
